Term 4 Week 8

Year 5 Swimming

last Friday all the year 5 in room 28/29  went swimming, First we went to the changing room and waited for year 5 student to finish changing. Next we jump down in the pool and have a worm up, we did some freestyle and we did a rass . Then we did free time free time is you do any swimming you like to do . I played with my friend we played stuck on the mad and more. I'm hlopping to do it again.

I have been learning about Weta. In my reading group we were reading about weta and it about a girl name was Annie and on Saturday she put on her left gumboot and saw a little  weta then she wrote a letter to get he out. I found it easy because I know what  to do and when I'm get stuck ,I can look in my book to see what happen . I'm learning  to learn more about weta 

Learning to combine numbers to make ten

My Refection

I was learning to make tiddly tens. First I look and see what make tens and add the number that can't make ten I add them together. Then I add Ten. I found it tricky because sometime I get stuck on the number. My next step  is to do more tidy tens.

I'm learning to read and look at tricky words. last Tuesday  I have been reading about Lucy and the dragon. my teacher was helping me with the tricky words. My Next step is to look at more tricky and see what it mean.

Narrative 2

My Refection

in room 28/29 I have been learning to do a Narrative writing.  I really like doing it because i can make my own story, so first I have to put a binning ,ending and Characters. my goal is to learn more.

Swimming

My Reflection

I am learning to breath properly in freestyle. I think I am good at rolling my head, I still need to work on putting my ears on my arm. My next step is to learn another stroke for swimming.

Te Tuhi

My Refection

On Monday room 28/29 went to Te tuhi, in Te tuhi we have been learning to make collage art. Collage is a art at other kuchen  and it a art make. In  te tuhi 

made cullge it was easy. Frist I glue there piss of paper in a paper. Next I draw some pitcher in it and then I get some glue and glue some new paper and glue it an im hlopping to do it agan 

Term 4 Week 5

Shark swimming

Last Wednesday room 28/29, the advanced group went swimming, I was in there because I was confident with water, we're called sharks. 

First we have to get changed in the changing rooms and wait for the teacher to tell us to hop into to pool. It was really warm, the sun was shining, and we started some warm-up. We did Jack in the box where you need to do 3 jumps and then you go in the water and come out etc.

Then, when our body feel a bit warmer we started freestyle, Mrs Graham taught us how to do freestyle breathing properly, we have to breath on one arm without put your head in the air, we learnt it fast so Mrs Graham let as have 5 minute of free time, she hand out some equipments that we can play. I got to play with the tyre. Time went fast, meanwhile we have to change into our uniforms. Then we went back to class.

Overall I thought it was a glorious day for swimming. I am look forward to do swimming again!!!

                                                                                         

Narrative Writing

My Reflection

We have been learning to do a Narrative Writing. Fist we read some examples and think about fairy tales I know. Next I had to complete a writing frame to generate my ideas. I thought it was interesting I found it easy because I can make my onil story. my next step is to keep learning.

Term 4 Week 4

Fantastic Friday

On Friday in room 28/29,we have been doing fantastic Friday. every Friday we all go to a  class room, and we do fun thing like make cool stuff or play cool games too. But my favitpart of Fantastic Friday was sowing.

Because it  really fun and really easy. I found it tricky because sometime  I made a mistake win I'm sowing, and then I have to start all over again.My gold for sowing is to making sure to look, at what I'm doing and stop making mistake.

We have been making a nice helpful pot. like win your making thing hot or hot food then you can uses a it to pot it ware everyday you like,buy not breathing your hands.

I really enjoy do it and i'm hopping to do it again 

Narrative Lesson 1

I was learning to identify the structure of a narrative. I find this tricky because I don't really understand it. My next step is to learn more about narrative.

 on a sunny morning on Sunday my family and I went to the go to the beautiful and cold beach. my sister and I  eat some yummy ice cream for morning tea then we all  ate some tasty fish in chip. After that I went to go play in the sea in felt like i'm siting on a block for ice. then me and my sister started making a gigantic hole so win the water come it will be stuck it the hole it was so much fun. after we went the beach we ate subway yum I ate some hot tasty cookie.

wake up! wake up! as my mum shouted, it Sunday morning .my mum pulls the curtain it shun my into my bed,like I'm in the beach and the smell of the tree.  I jumped over my bed and led in the nice and cold mat. First I ate some bonce and egg for the morning it was awesome.then I quite get dress and I get to the car. Next we went to Pak'n save to get thing from school and house.I saw a lot of fruit,veges,candy and chips. their to, Mandy my mum said, can you get the milk and chip. I ran to get to the milk and chip I saw some elm park kids. I slowly get the chip and made my way to my mum. After that my mum and I went to burger king it was yummy we  ate chip,burger. My favorite part  was eating burger it burger kind  I am holpping  to do it again.

Last week room 28/29 have been reading about guardian. after that we draw the guardian we soon peons and coloring peons too. My foritpart was drawing the gulden and making it priten . I found it tricky because I got stuck on drawing the guardian and I got stuck on destining it.My next step is to make a myself guardian.

Geometry - 3D Shapes

In room 28/29 we have learning to look at geometry.My goal is to look at 3D shape and see how many faces, Vertices and edges. I fond it tricky because it was hard to look at how many faces and edges.My next step is to learn more geometry. 

Puppet pals play

We have been learning to read out lout using expression. We need to look at the punctuation to help us use  expression. when there is an exclamation we make it to practise and then recosded it on puppet pals. I found this hard because there was some wold that I can't understand. My next step is to keep read out loud using expression.

Treasure from the sea

My Reflection

I have been learning to look at missing word and reading a book cod Treasure from the sea.I found it easy because it was fun and easy finding the words.My goal is to make my word more intrusting.

Transformation game

My Reflection

I was learning to look at transformation. What transformation it the same pattern or it can be two share that can make a vertex .All I had to do was watch a video about transformation and then make a video playing a transformation games.I thought it was going to be tricky because I did in know what to do and did in go to the workshop.My next step is to keep on learning transformation.

Term 3 week 6 Blog recount

Last week, Room 28/29 started a project about the New Zealand flag.

The project have 6 challenges: Challenge 1 is to find out a list of flags, Challenge 2 is to find out in the world map where the challenge 1 country is, Challenge 3 is to read a article and then complete a quiz, Challenge 4 is to read a article and then complete a mind map, Challenge 5 is to complete a PMI about why we should change or not and something interesting and Challenge 6 is to design a flag for our school.

Overall I was enjoying this project. I am looking forward to do more project.

We a learning fractions in room 28/29.

this week for fraction I am learning to identify the symbols for fractions.what i really like about fractions it easy,fun and it really help with my math.Sometime it really tricky for me was the numerator and the denominator but i learn from my mistaker.

At school I really enjoy doing my pepeha art. It is an art that shows you wear you live like river,home,mountan and what you like.Then I colored it in. After you are done.

I have been learning to write an African praise poem. I was

Term 1 Week 5

At  room 28/29 we have be doing foundation skills. It went you can doing any thing you want like mathletics and spelling. This week I really enjoyed playing with youth town. We were learning about the blue whale challenge

Term 1 Week 4

I played youth town sport it was called capture the flag I was in the non bibs. It was a really cool game. My friend was in non bibs too. I capture the flag then I run to the line I feel so happy. I really injoy help people win they are in the mud.
